The Incredible Military Wife

maari0303

When I first created this blog, it started off with several different names, to many if I am being transparent with you guys. Going into this blogging journey I wanted a name that was catchy, but also have a powerful meaning. Some may look at the name of the blog and think, oh her blog is about being a perfect military spouse, wife, and mother etc.…. Well guess what you are wrong….BIG TIME!!! What Incredible means to me, is having the ability to navigate through life’s obstacles and overcoming them. This is what makes us incredible! There are days where I just feel beat down from life, but it is how I choose to make a positive out of a negative that makes me incredible. As spouses we often get placed on the back burner, or are misunderstood and stereotyped. Being incredible is choosing to make a positive out of something negative, along with not focusing on how you fall but having the strength and courage to get back up.

“Your personal life, your professional life, and your creative life are all intertwined. I went through a few very difficult years where I felt like a failure. But it was actually really important for me to go through that. Struggle, for me, is the most inspirational thing in the world at the end of the day - as long as you treat it that way”. Skylar Grey

I never want to give the impression that my life is easy or perfect!!!! If you stick with me throughout this blogging journey you'll understand it's far from that. I am human just like you, trying to navigate this thing called life. When life becomes trying, I don’t fold, I make the best with the hand I am dealt. Plus…I am a FIRM believer that God gives the hardest tasks to the toughest and most incredible people. I lost my mother when I was 12 years old. In an instant, my world was turned upside down. I really did not understand or know how to move forward. After learning how to cope and understand my feelings I had a new outlook on life. I now look for the positives in negative situations! Yes, the positives…you may say what's positive about losing your mother at 12? Well since you asked, the positive comes from what she instilled in me. My mother taught me that time waits for no one, so live your life to the fullest! By her instilling this in me at a young tender age, it has made me become a loving, caring, and purpose driven wife and mother.

“I think my mother... made it clear that you have to live life by your own terms and you have to not worry about what other people think and you have to have the courage to do the unexpected”. Caroline Kennedy

As I venture into this blogging journey, I wanted everyone to truly understand the meaning of Incredible. Each new day we rise and put on our hero armor and challenge whatever the day may bring. This is what makes you Incredible! EVERYONE (yes even you) has an amazing story, this blog is just a glimpse into the one I’m going to share with you all on this incredible journey.

When I say my tag line Live free, Laugh often & BE Incredible it means…

1. Live Free…… Means to live your life to the fullest, because tomorrow is NEVER promised. Make your family, marriage, & meaningful friendships a priority to you. Also remember the reason why you can live free…. And the sacrifices service members and their families have made past and present for you to have this freedom.

2. Laugh Often……. Means don’t forget to share a smile and laughter. A smile and laughter can go a long way. You never know whose day you are making with a simple smile, laugh, or hello!

3. Be Incredible……This means no matter the situation, or circumstance that may arise; it is how we face the situation, deal with it, overcome it, and think about what we have gained as a learning lesson that makes us incredible. #FACTS!!!

Again, I thank you for taking your time to read my blog and would love to hear your opinion on what Incredible means to you. So, lets chat! Leave me a comment below.
